A College Park mother and father have been convicted of murder in the death of their infant, officials said.

D’Hari Black, 27, and her husband, Keith Black, 29, were found guilty of felony murder in the death of 11-month-old Keith Black III. They were also convicted for felony cruelty to children for the abuse of their 2-year-old daughter, Kyara.

Prosecutors with the Fulton County District Attorney's office said the Blacks took their unconscious son to South Fulton Medical Center Dec. 14, 2008. The boy, who had multiple bruises and signs of healed lacerations, was pronounced dead. Further medical tests revealed rib fractures and scars believed to have been caused by an electrical cord or belt.

Kyara, who had burn injuries, was immediately placed into foster care.

The parents will be sentenced in July. Each faces a minimum sentence of life in prison.
