College Park City Manager Terrence Moore met with representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation last week to discuss access to landlocked property in the city. The property, which is slated for incorporation on June 1, is located near Buffington Road and Roosevelt Highway.

The city will collaborate with GDOT to outline and identify opportunities for access to the property, known as Spur 14, as development proposals are submitted for review and consideration, Moore said in his weekly newsletter. GDOT will review land acquisitions and accessibility transactions made in previous decades, which created inaccessability to the land.

Once GDOT reports its findings, the city hopes to use the information to facilitate development of land use in the future.
