Fulton County and City of College Park officials recently attended the Old National Sidewalk Improvements Groundbreaking Ceremony for the $4.3 million project that includes five to six feet of sidewalks on both sides of Old National Highway from a bit north of Flat Shoals Road to Sullivan Road, according to the county’s “Building Fulton” newsletter.

The Georgia Department of Transportation provided $3.2 million toward the project; a collaboration between the City of College Park and Fulton County resulted in $1.1 million in funding, the newsletter reported. Among those in attendance were Fulton County commissioner Emma Darnell, City of College Park mayor Jack Longino, College Park councilman Tracey Wyatt, Georgia Department of Transportation board member Dana Lemon, and Fulton County chief operating officer Todd Long.
