A Cobb County wing restaurant and bar failed its recent health check.

An inspector gave The Wing Cafe & Tap House a score of 62/U during a Friday visit. Any score below a 70 is considered failing.

The Marietta eatery, located at 2145 Roswell Road, was cited for having food kept at unsafe temperatures, employees not properly washing their hands and mold in an ice machine.

The inspector’s report said workers didn’t wash their hands after touching dirty dishes before handling clean ones.

As for the mold, the inspector noted that “a deep cleaning” will be needed “as soon as possible” and this was a repeat violation.

Store owner John Kenny said almost everything was taken care of and a lot of work was done while the inspector was there, which the report said.
