The Cobb County Board of Commissioners agreed Tuesday to buy about 23 acres of vacant floodplain properties.

Cobb will pay $111,700 to Boyd and Burton Contractors for 22 acres on Butler Creek under Cobb Parkway.

Also, $1,500 will be paid for nearly an acre at 4530 Lindsey Drive in the Rolling Hills subdivision on a tributary to Sweetwater Creek.

An additional $2,500 will be added for each property for transaction costs.
