Cobb County is getting up and out Monday to highs in the mid-70s.

That high is expected to increase to around 92 today, said Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton.

The rain that was a big part of last week is not expected to return until the end of this week and the weekend, Minton said.

“Heading toward lunchtime, the heat will take over,” she said. There will be some spotty rain showers, but it will not be widespread.
