Cobb shooting: Third man dies from gunshot wounds

Jesse James Warren will face additional murder charge

A third victim from Tuesday's shooting spree near Kennesaw has died.

Roberto Gonzalez, 31, of Dallas, died Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokesman at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Gonzalez continues to remain on life support in order to pursue organ donation per his wishes, according to Keith Bowermaster with Kennestone.

The alleged shooter, Jesse James Warren, 60, will now face an additional murder charge, according to Officer Joe Hernandez with Cobb County police.

Warren, of Temple, was arrested Tuesday after opening fire at the Penske Truck Rental facility on Barrett Lakes Boulevard, near Kennesaw. He is accused of shooting five men at the facility, where he previously worked.

Two men, Van Spring of Woodstock and Jaider Felipe Marulanda, died Tuesday from their injuries.

Zachariah J. Werner and Joshua B. Holbrook remained in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, Bowermaster said.

Warren remains at the Cobb County jail, where he is being held without bond.

Gonzalez is survived by his wife and two daughters.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Roberto Gonzalez," said Randy Ryerson, Penske spokesman. "He was a valued employee and he will be missed by his colleagues at Penske. We would all like to express our deepest sympathies to his family. They are in our prayers."
