The Cobb County Emergency Management Agency is seeking public comments as the natural disaster plan is updated.

The plan and survey are available until Tuesday at mariettaga.gov/city/news/readarticle?id=2870.

The county, Marietta and other agencies are updating the Cobb County Hazard Mitigation Plan to identify and assess the community’s natural hazard risks and determine how to best minimize or manage those risks.

The plan will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for final review and approval this year, allowing the county and six Cobb cities to maintain funding eligibility for various federal disaster programs.
