The Cobb County SCLC holds its annual Martin Luther King birthday celebration featuring several public service events throughout the county.
At noon on Thursday, Jan. 14 organization members will service lunch at MUST Ministries’ Elizabeth Inn, 55 Elizabeth Church Road. An oratorical contest at Marietta High School is scheduled for Jan. 15. A commemorative service at Union Chapel United Methodist Church on Jan. 16 begins at 3 p.m. A parade from Lockheed Federal Credit Union to Marietta Square begins at 1 p.m. on Jan. 17.
All events take place in Marietta.
