The Cobb Board of Education Tuesday unanimously approved Chris Ragsdale as district superintendent. The board named Ragsdale interim superintendent in May after system head Michael Hinojosa resigned to move back to Texas. Ragsdale, who was formerly Cobb Schools deputy superintendent of operational support, will receive a base salary of $275,000. His contract runs through Feb. 11, 2018. Ragsdale has more than 20 years experience in school operations and information technology. The Cobb system has 111,000 students.
