Cobb school officials draw political map

The school board in Cobb County has approved it's favored map for new voting boundaries

School board members voted 5-1 Wednesday  in favor of the same map that got their preliminary nod in July. It maintains seven school board member posts but alters the boundaries.

The reapportionment map is a recommendation to Georgia legislators. Each decade, state lawmakers redraw the maps based upon the results of the federal census. See Cobb's proposed map here: www.cobbk12.org/board/ReapportionmentMap.pdf
