Two road projects are expected to begin next month in South Cobb.

At the intersection of Cooper Lake and King Springs Roads, there will be improvements in drainage, pedestrian access and traffic flow.

Additional curb and gutter and storm drain will be installed, while the gaps between existing sidewalks will be filled in with new sidewalk.

Pedestrian access across King Springs Road will be upgraded to improve safety.

Also, the existing eastbound left-turn lane from Cooper Lake Road onto King Springs Road will be extended to improve traffic flow.

For the second project, nearly one-quarter mile of sidewalk will be constructed along the west side of Hicks Road from the Silver Comet Trail to about 450 feet north of Dunes Way.

The project also includes the addition of curb and gutter and shoulder improvements.
