A local Chinese restaurant has improved its food service inspection conducted by the Cobb and Douglas Public Health Department.

Chin Chin Chinese Restaurant at 2800 Spring Road Suite A near Smyrna scored an 82, or B, on its follow-up inspection held March 29. The latest inspection was triggered by the restaurant's failing score of 57 it received on March 18.

The latest report cites the restaurant on cold items inside a cooler being held above 41 degrees Fahrenheit, bags of rice and sugar stored next to the mop sink and two containers of oil stored inside the same sink.

The inspector also noted the lack of hand-washing signs posted at the sushi bar and an open water bottle belonging to an employee stored above the prep cooler.

Chin Chin will be charged for having a third inspection within a 12-month period, according to the report.
