A public information meeting about the $41.6 million Southwest Connector water main, east Cobb phase, will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 21 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta.

This connector includes the design and installation of around 6.5 miles of 54-inch water main in eastern Cobb County for the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority.

The new pipeline project will begin near the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant, 4402 Lower Roswell Road, and continue in a southwesterly direction along Lower Roswell and Terrell Mill Roads, ending near the intersection of Terrell Mill Road and U.S. Highway 41/Cobb Parkway.

Construction is scheduled to begin in August and run through December 2017.
