Cobb private parks will need public hearings

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted today to require that all private parks must receive a special land use permit by going through the public hearing process.

These permits first would be considered by the county’s planning commission for recommendation to the commissioners for their decision.

Also, the commissioners lifted a moratorium on new private parks that had been in place since April.
