For the second Friday in a row, a Cobb County bank was robbed by a man sucking a lollipop.

Cobb police are looking for the man who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the Regions bank at 2048 Macland Crossing Circle in Marietta.

The man, who had a lollipop in his mouth, walked in just before noon and showed a teller a note that said he had a gun, investigators said. He demanded and received cash, then fled on foot. He is believed to have left the area in an older model white or silver Toyota Corolla, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black do-rag, khaki shorts and large black, brown and white sunglasses.

On May 11, a man sucking a lollipop robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 5010 Floyd Road in Mableton.

Authorities have not determined if the same suspect is responsible for both bank robberies.

"We are not sure yet as this is an ongoing investigation," Cobb police spokesman Mike Bowman told the AJC.

Anyone with information should call Cobb police at 770-499-3945.
