Cobb Latino school administrator named best in nation

Greg Ewing has been chosen as the Hispanic-Serving School District Administrator of the Year by the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents.

Ewing was recognized during ALAS’s second annual Leaders in Education Awards Gala on April 25 in Washington, D.C.

Among those congratulating Ewing were Roberto Rodriguez, White House deputy assistant to the president for education, and Veronica Rivera, ALAS executive director.

Ewing is the chief accountability and research officer for the Cobb County School District.

Including Ewing’s award, ALAS presented five awards at the gala to school district superintendents and administrators across the nation.
