Cobb, Kennesaw Unemployment Rates Drop

September 18, 2014 - Marietta - More than 80 employers had booths at today's CobbWorks job fair at the Cobb County Civic Center in Marietta. Georgia’s unemployment rate jumped to 8.1 percent in August from a revised 7.7 percent in July — even as the number of jobs increased and layoffs declined, the state labor department said Thursday.
