Cobb, Kennesaw to proceed with design for possible roundabout

Cobb County and Kennesaw will be working on a joint project to improve the intersection on McCollum Parkway at Ben King Road and Big Shanty Road.
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Tuesday to award an engineering design contract to Gresham, Smith and Partners for $462,940.
Also included are a possible roundabout at McCollum Parkway and Ben King Road, realignment of the intersection and the addition/expansion of turn lanes, according to a Tuesday memo from Cobb County Department of Transportation Director Jim Wilgus to County Manager David Hankerson.
