Cobb Extension and CredAbility, a nonprofit credit counseling and education organization, are hosting a free first-time homebuyer workshop Sept. 10 in Marietta.

The workshop will include information about down payment assistance, the loan process, insurance and inspections. Participants will receive a HUD-approved certificate at the end of the session.

The workshop is limited to the first 40 participants and runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cobb Extension office, 678 South Cobb Drive in Marietta.
