Cobb’s Community Emergency Response Team program meets 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 and Feb. 21 at the Cobb County Emergency Operations Center, 140 North Marietta Parkway, Marietta.
Residents will be trained to respond to emergency situations in their communities, giving critical support to first responders, providing immediate assistance to victims and organizing spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site.
CERT members also can help with nonemergency projects to improve the community’s safety.
Students must attend all sessions to complete the program.
Participants must be at least 16 years old.
