Cobb County will hold its first “How to Do Business with Cobb County” seminar in May.

This event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. May 7 in the Cobb Board of Commissioners Room, second floor, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta.

Participants will learn about vendor opportunities, meet with department representatives, network with local business owners and learn about the Local Vendor Preference.

This event is hosted by Cobb’s Purchasing Department, Keep It in Cobb and the Cobb County School District.

In 2013, more than 16,000 small business transactions were awarded by Cobb, totaling greater than $9 million and around 12,000 large business transactions were awarded, totaling more than $126 million.
