If you're a Cobb EMC customer, consider yourself lucky.

Cobb EMC apparently has the lowest average electricity rates of all 94 statewide providers, according to the Georgia Public Service Commission's Summer Residential Rate Survey.

The survey said Cobb EMC members paid about $31.66 less per month on their July bills than the average electric utility customer.

"We’re extremely proud that our rates rank No. 1 lowest," said Chip Nelson, president and CEO of Cobb EMC. "These rankings reaffirm our commitment to safely delivering reliable, competitively priced electricity and to bring greater savings and overall value to our members."
