Cobb education sales tax will be topic of public meetings

July 22, 2016Continuation of penny sales tax for education projects for the Cobb County School District will be discussed at three community meetings this month.
All times will be 6 p.m. at these locations:
- Tuesday: Smyrna Elementary School, 1099 Fleming St., Smyrna
- Wednesday: Lovinggood Middle School, 3825 Luther Ward Road, Powder Springs
- Thursday: Walton High School, 1590 Bill Murdock Road, Marietta
If approved by Cobb County voters next year, Ed-SPLOST V will be continued from 2019 through 2023 and can be used only for technology, school construction or building repairs and renovations.
