The Cobb County Board of Commissioners approved a contract on Nov. 12 with Glosson Enterprises, LLC for $1,509,044 to construct Ebenezer Road and Maybreeze Road sidewalks.

Ebenezer Road sidewalk is an approved project in the 2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Transportation Improvements Program.

The project consists of adding curb and gutter with a five-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side of Ebenezer Road from Hampton Oaks Bend to Maybreeze Road.

Also, curb and gutter with a five-foot-wide sidewalk will be installed on the south side of Maybreeze Road between Ebenezer Road and Corye Lane to close gaps and connect missing segments with existing sidewalk.

Bid tabulation consists of $1,119,920 in roadway costs and $389,124 in Water System costs.

The scheduled completion date is about a year after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
