Out-of-county residents and businesses now face paying $50/ton instead of $7/ton at the Cobb County transfer station.

Also known as the Solid Waste Transfer Station, the dump is at 1897 County Services Parkway, Marietta.

This fee change was made Oct. 8.

The rate for Cobb County residents remains the same at $7/ton plus extra charges, for example, $5/mattress and other items.

Cobb residents must provide a valid Cobb driver’s license to the scale attendant.

No other forms to identify residency will be accepted.

Hours of operation at the dump are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays but closed on county holidays.
