A man accused of robbing two banks in Cobb County died at a hospital late Tuesday afternoon, cops said.

According to a news release sent Tuesday, he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his Marietta home and taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition.

Cobb and Marietta police detectives, along with a SWAT team, found the unidentified man inside his Wayward Drive home about 6:15 a.m. while serving a warrant, according to the news release.

Both Cobb and Marietta police departments released photos of the suspect Friday asking for the public’s help to find him.

In both alleged robberies, one on June 22 and another on Halloween, he handed a teller a note saying he had a gun and demanded cash.
