Cobb County police accuse a man of attacking his Lyft driver with a hammer.
Malik Yeamen was arrested early Wednesday on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault, jail records show.
Yeamen ordered a Lyft about 2 a.m. for him and his girlfriend, according to a police warrant.
Soon after getting in, he pulled a hammer from his backpack and hit the driver in the head, the warrant said.
Police wrote that Yeamen was trying to get control of the car.
The Cobb police department did not immediately respond Monday when asked about the status of the driver.
Yeamen remained in jail without bond as of Monday afternoon, according to jail records.
