Acworth police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman who stole a rug in September.

The police department posted surveillance pictures to Facebook on Friday of the suspect in the act.

In the post, the department said the woman took a rug from behind the Georgia Rug Gallery on Cobb Parkway sometime during the day on Sept. 14.

The agency didn’t say why the photos hadn’t been posted earlier.

She allegedly put the oval rug in the back of a red four-door car.
