A 23-year-old man was killed Monday by a dump truck while doing construction work in Kennesaw, according to Cobb County police.

The front right corner of the dump truck knocked the man to the ground and continued, according to police.

This happened near a home in the 2500 block of Bartleson Drive about 3:10 p.m. The home is owned by Lennar Georgia, county property records show. The address appears to be in the Lennar at Brumby Place neighborhood.

The driver was a 49-year-old Cartersville man.

The department did not mention potential charges in its news release but said it will continue to investigate. Anyone with information can call Cobb police at 770-499-3987.
