Cobb residents can keep track of an appointed citizen oversight committee on a new website set to launch Wednesday afternoon.

A link to the panel's website, is available on the main page of the county's website, http://www.cobbcounty.org. Residents can also submit comments.

The full panel meets each Wednesday, while subgroups of panel members have been interviewing department directors, analyzing organizational charts and reviewing county budgets. This week members questioned how the county awards money to nonprofit groups and whether county resources, including staff, are used on SPLOST projects or projects funded with state and federal money.

A report from the full committee is scheduled for June 28.
