East Cobb residents who had to change their daily routines after Chick-fil-A at Woodlawn Square closed last summer for a renovation project can now rejoice, as the restaurant will soon reopen for business.
Chick-fil-A at 1201 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, April 15 with a new design, the company said.
Customers will be treated to a dining room featuring what the restaurant calls “vintage heritage interior designs,” including larger tables and light fixtures made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles. Other finishes include subway tiles, bigger windows and a large gathering table.

The little ones will enjoy an updated, two-story indoor play area, and customers will be treated to free Wi-Fi, an updated drive-thru system with expanded face-to-face ordering and an additional lane. Kim Cox, a spokeswoman with Chick-fil-A, said the Woodlawn Square eatery closed July 6, 2018, to accommodate the renovation project.
Chick-fil-A at Woodlawn Square set up shop more than 30 years ago, and Monday’s reopening coincides with franchise owner and Marietta resident Danny Daniels celebrating three decades with the company.
