Cobb County residents can recycle their broken or unwanted appliances free of charge on Saturday in Marietta.

The Appliance Amnesty Day is sponsored by Keep Cobb Beautiful and Advanced Disposal Services. Accepted appliances include stoves, dryers, washers, microwaves, lawn mowers and other items. Appliances with Freon/refrigerant will have a $5 disposal processing fee.

The event runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cobb Waste Disposal/Transfer Station, 1897 County Services Pkwy.
