More digital speed signs will be seen around Cobb County.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners recently approved the Dynamic Speed Display Sign Policy. At $5,000 each, 20 of these permanent signs will be installed on certain two-lane roads for a $100,000 total. The Cobb County Department of Transportation now has seven portable digital speed signs.

Since 2013, Cobb DOT also has been conducting a pilot program with these signs at five permanent locations.
