The Marietta building that once housed a Walmart will reopen as a City Farmers Market.

The company's website lists the store as "coming soon" to 1167 Powder Springs St., which was the site of a Walmart that closed in December.

This would be Cobb County’s first location of the market, which has a wide selection of produce and ingredients often used in Asian and Hispanic cuisines.

The Marietta store is tentatively slated to open during the second week of March, said Paul Wu, an assistant manager at the Chamblee location, on Monday.

That Chamblee location is the company’s flagship store. It also has a second spot on Buford Highway in Brookhaven.

The company also has plans to open a new store inside of a former Kroger in Gwinnett County.
