University of Georgia police are investigating a report from an 18-year-old Clemson University student who said he was assaulted and held against his will in the basement of a fraternity house, Lt. Eric Dillinger said Tuesday.

No arrests have been made and investigators are having trouble sorting out details Stephen Spaseff offered early Sunday morning because of  “his level of intoxication.”

A campus police officer reported seeing Spaseff running down the middle of Lumpkin Street just before 3:30 a.m., calling for help. The police report said the man was crying and acted as if he had been drinking. According to the report, Spaseff's clothes were wet and dirty.

He  had multiple cuts and a swollen right eye, the report said.
