Clayton Water authority seeks volunteers for river cleanup

Clayton County Water authority is seeking volunteers to clean trash, debris and other pollutants from Rum Creek on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. This is a great community activity for scouts, youth groups, environmental and civic clubs and families. The 2012 Rivers Alive Stream Cleanup will meet at M.D. Roberts Middle School, 1905 Walt Stephens Rd in Jonesboro. Wear outdoor clothing and waterproof boots. Details: 770 961-2130 ext. 5972.
