Following a nationwide search, Clayton State University has announced that Jacob Chacko will become Dean of the College of Business. He will assume his leadership role on Aug. 1.
Chacko first came to Clayton State in 1999 as an associate dean and was charged with leading the college through the AACSB accreditation process. He was appointed dean in 2008.
In 2010, Chacko left Clayton State to lead Abu Dhabi University’s College of Business as it sought to expand its degree programs and attain accreditation. While at Abu Dhabi University, Chacko successfully led them through AACSB accreditation process, broadened their curriculum with new doctoral, masters and undergraduate degree programs, and built international partnerships.
Chacko received a Bachelor of Commerce from Gogte College of Commerce, Belgaum, BBA and MBA degrees from United States International University, Nairobi and Doctor of Business Administration from the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management at United States International University, San Diego.
Chacko will take over for Avinandan Murherjee, who will serve out his term through June 30.
