The Clayton County Branch of the NAACP’s Annual Freedom Fund Dinner Dance is Friday, Dec. 20 at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel Atlanta, 1 Hartsfield Center Pkwy, near Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Edward O. Dubose, the immediate past president of the civil rights organization’s Georgia State Conference, will be honored at the 6 p.m. to midnight event. Rap artist and activist Jasiri X is the guest speaker and entertainer. Tickets can be purchased at the NAACP satelittle office, 136 Hwy 138 in Riverdale, Mondays-Fridays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 3pm-6pm. Cost: $50 for adults or $70 ( includes regular membership renewal or new membership); $35 for students or $45 for students ( membership renewal or new membership).
