Clayton house fire claims elderly man

Dec 18, 2009A 90-year-old man died in a house fire in Clayton County Thursday night despite attempts by family and neighbors to rescue him, Fox 5 is reporting.
Steven Cundrat was one of six people in the Granada Drive home on Thursday when a space heater fell over and started the blaze, fire investigators told Fox 5.
Everyone else in the home was able to make it out safely, Fox 5 said. While others tried to rescue Cundrat, they were unable to reach him. Investigators told Fox 5 they found his body in the back corner of the home.
The fire destroyed about 80 percent of the home, Fox 5 said.
