Clayton home prices up 3 percent, moving faster than in past

House prices in Clayton County increased more than 3 percent between August 2018 and August 2019, according to Re/Max Premier.

The median sales price of a house in the south metro Atlanta community increased from $140,000 in August 2018 to $145,000 during the same period this year. Houses for sale also sold quicker year over year, staying on the market for 32 days in August 2019 compared to 44 days a year ago.

Overall home sales in the county were up 0.7 percent in August 2019 compared to the same period a year ago.
