The Clayton County State Court has launched an e-filing system for civil case filings.

After working with Clayton County’s IT Department, Tyler Technologies Odyssey eFileGA and the State Court of Clayton County now offers e-filing.

The Clayton County State Court has never had an e-filing system, other than a handful of civil suits filed more than a decade ago as part of a long-dormant in-house pilot program.

Odyssey eFileGA allows users to open court cases and e-file documents from a single website anytime and from anywhere at www.odysseyefilega.com/index.htm.

Similar to the federal document filing system for Georgia, the new system streamlines the case filing process. The website will also offer filer training along with information needed to subscribe and use the service.

E-filing will be a voluntary service at first, but will eventually become mandatory.
