Clarkston residents who want to dispose of their Christmas trees without impacting local landfills have a solution right inside the city, according to a press release.

The city of Clarkston is providing free Christmas tree recycling. Drop off your un-decorated Christmas tree (no lights, tinsel, ornaments, nails, etc.) at Milam Park, 3867 Norman Road. Residents are asked to leave trees in a designated area, anytime through Jan. 10. City of Clarkston staff will do the rest.

Recycling your Christmas tree keeps trees out of landfills by recycling them into mulch. This saves precious landfill space and provides an easy and environmentally conscious solution for residents.
