Clarification: College Park ‘quiet railroad zone’ grant update

A news brief that ran Friday on the County by county pages of the Metro section had inaccurate information. College Park applied for a federal grant to create quiet zones and traffic safety measures at railroad crossings along Main Street in 2012. It was awarded a year later and in May 2014 the zone was put in place with the assistance of CSX Railroad.
