Kennesaw State University's Center for the Study of the Civil War Era hosts its eighth annual symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. This year's theme, "Civil War to Civil Rights," will include on-campus talks in the morning as well as presentations in the afternoon at nearby Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The Georgia Humanities Council is also a co-sponsor.
