The city of South Fulton City Council has adopted the 2019 General Fund Millage rate of 11.579 to fund the City’s Fiscal Year 2019 Budget, according to a press release.
The approved rate is the same as the 2017 combined millage rate of 7.149 mills to the city of South Fulton plus the 4.430 mills to Fulton County’s Special Service District.
The 11.579 millage rate will help fund the projected FY 2019 Budget developed to “Move South Fulton Forward,” with the goal of helping the city of South Fulton remain progressive while investing in over $70 million in key areas such as public safety, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, economic development, and public works (specifically transportation).
“Everybody wants the best for themselves and their city, this approved millage rate will bring us further in our quest to provide quality services and facilities which are extremely needed in our city,” said Mayor William “Bill” Edwards.
