The Gwinnett County Police Department is accepting applications for the 28th Citizen’s Police Academy to be held March 3 through May 7, with no classes during the week of April 6-10.

The mission of the Citizen’s Police Academy is to create and develop a growing nucleus of responsible, well-informed citizens who want to learn more about their police department. Topics include: crime prevention, communications (911), crime scene investigations, criminal investigations, firearms, gangs, K-9, S.W.A.T, traffic enforcement, and use of force, among others.
