Dennis Kimbro, an author and business school professor at Clark Atlanta University, will provide the keynote address at Morris Brown College's upcoming commencement ceremony.

Seventeen students will graduate, including Sam Smith, who spent 50 years working at MARTA before retiring at 71 and returning to Morris Brown to complete his degree.

The commencement is May 20 at 4 p.m. at Big Bethel AME church.

Honorary degrees will be given to seven people, including an honorary Doctorate of Letters to Kimbro, an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to NBA Hall of Famer and David T. Howard High School graduate Walter "Clyde" Frazier and an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts to actor Chris Tucker.

Frazier is from Atlanta, and Tucker hails from DeKalb County.
