A child suffered minor injuries Sunday afternoon in a bizarre incident at a southwest Atlanta park.

Atlanta police were pursuing a stolen van near Perkerson Park when the juvenile occupants of the van jumped from the still-moving vehicle and ran from officers.

The van continued rolling, running off the road, tearing through a fence and into the park, where it struck a couple of parked vehicles and a stroller.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said the two-year-old child in the stroller was "slightly injured," and was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

The juveniles who bailed out of the van were still had not been located, Jones told the AJC.
