A public information open house April 12 will update Cherokee County residents on proposed improvements to the intersection of Bells Ferry Road at Kellogg Creek Road/Victory Drive near Woodstock.

The Cherokee SPLOST Roadway Capital Program event is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at Rose Creek Library, 4476 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock. “Residents are invited to learn more about the project, ask questions and provide comments. There will be no formal presentation,” according to a county announcement.

Plans call for converting Kellogg Creek to one-way eastbound between Victory and Bells Ferry, with two right-turn lanes and one left-turn lane. The median and U-turn lane on Bells Ferry at Kellogg Creek would be removed, and a signalized left-turn lane created from northbound Bells Ferry to southbound Victory for traffic heading west on Kellogg Creek.

The intersection of Kellogg Creek and Victory also would be reconstructed with a channelized northbound right-turn lane from Victory to Kellogg Creek for traffic that eventually turns right onto Bells Ferry. Information: 678-493-6077 or email gmorton@cherokeega.com.
